Support These 7 Non-profits Just by Shopping at Buffalo Exchange

Volunteers unloading paper bags of food from trunk of car

Make your next sustainable shopping spree even better by donating to one of these charities when you shop at Buffalo. It’s really that simple! Instead of offering single-use plastic bags, Buffalo Exchange gives out 5¢ tokens – the cost of a plastic bag – that customers can donate to one of three local non-profits. Our Tokens for Bags® program has kept over 18.5 million plastic bags from going to a landfill and raised over $900,000 for thousands of local charities.

Hollywood Food Coalition

Since 1987, Hollywood Food Coalition has been serving hot and healthy meals every night of the year, all without ever missing a night! In 2023, they served over 91,000 meals and distributed over 19,000 basic-need items. They also work with other non-profits by creating personalized plans and providing them with the food they need to serve their communities. Serving more of their community each day, Hollywood Food Coalition envisions a city where everyone has food, community, and support. You can help fight food insecurity by dropping them your 5¢ next time you shop at Buffalo Exchange Melrose!

SPARK School Park Program

Parks are the perfect place for kids to play, jump, swing and make-believe to their hearts’ content. SPARK Parks works with public schools to develop their playgrounds into community parks. There are over 150 active SPARK parks today in the Houston area. When you shop at  BE Houston, you can help give kids a place to be kids!

Love Your Feral Feline

Love Your Feral Feline (LYFF) works to give cats & kittens a second chance at life by saving the most at-risk felines from local San Diego shelter euthanasia lists. When you shop at BE San Diego (Pacific Beach), you can help cats like Spud (pictured) while they wait for their fur-ever homes.

Get Outdoors Nevada

Whether it’s through teaching kids about the beautiful Nevada desert or working to conserve wildlife in urban spaces, this organization wants to give everyone equal access to the benefits of our great outdoors. Get Outdoors Nevada aims to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience, learn about and care for our outdoor spaces. Show your love and support for the outdoors next time you shop at BE Las Vegas!

For the Love of the Lake
