How did you start working here?

I have always loved fashion, and one of my good friends who worked at BE Tucson reached out and asked if I was interested in applying. I said yes, and the rest is history!

How did you become the Outlet Manager?

I’ve had quite the journey with a lot of growth and, at times, really big learning moments throughout my many positions here. I transferred to the BE San Antonio in 2011, where I was a Buyer and then Assistant Manager. We converted into an Outlet in 2013, and I learned a lot on how to run a store that was similar to a buy-sell-trade location, but that had to be open to new ideas to make it successful.

What does an average day look like for you?

When I get to work, I always have a lot on my mind and a to-do list already started. I delegate tasks to my staff and always have a new goal to achieve – be it for the day or for the week! I love to be on the sales floor with my staff so we can always be on the same page and have fun while we’re working.

I love interacting with different types of customers and genuinely connecting with them. Being around all kinds of personalities has definitely made the job fun and rewarding.

Most memorable moment?

When I won Manager of the Year in 2015 and then again in 2020. Those moments where all my hard work was recognized made me so happy.

Something you’ve learned at Buffalo over the years?

Always take accountability for your actions! That’s the only way you can move on while staying humble and grounded.

How have you seen secondhand grow in your time here?

Being around the secondhand world for almost 20 years, it has definitely grown in popularity! I’ve noticed every year I’ve worked at Buffalo more and more excitement around resale. It’s definitely been trending for the past couple of years, and right now I think consumers are more knowledgeable about recycling used clothing to avoid the build up of unwanted clothes – and to be fashionable on a budget!

What in Buffalo’s future are you looking forward to?

It makes me so happy to be a part of Buffalo’s 50 years, and I look forward to our company’s positive growth!
