August Acts of Kindness
Time flies when you’re being kind! We are still continuing our 50 Acts of Kindness mission and this month was no exception. BE Pasadena collected donations for Pasadena Humane to support their mission of finding local animals a loving home. Meanwhile, BE New Orleans hosted a voter registration booth with Bike N Vote to educate youth on the importance of sharing their voice. Next up, BE Tucson HQ hosted a yard sale where all the proceeds went towards the Pima Animal Care Center! Last but definitely not least, BE San Diego (Pacific Beach) donated to the San Diego Coastkeeper to help their goal of restoring usable water all over San Diego County! Kindness Act #31: Donation Drive for Pasadena Humane at BE Pasadena
BE Pasadena collected donations to help Pasadena Humane care for their dogs, cats and other critters! Pasadena Humane is more than just an animal shelter: they are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. They provide lifesaving programs and services for thousands of vulnerable animals each year in the Pasadena area. If you are interested in adoption or their other services, check out their website! Kindness Act #32: Voter Registration Booth with Bike N Vote at BE New Orleans
BE New Orleans hosted a voter registration booth with Bike N Vote on August 2nd! Their organization focuses on the mobilization, education, engagement and registration of young, enthusiastic voters. Kindness Act #33: Supporting our Furry Friends at Pima Animal Care Center
Reusing, reducing and recycling has always been important to us at Buffalo Exchange — and that goes beyond just clothing! BE Tucson HQ put together a yard sale of items retired from BE stores and offices to raise money for Friends of Pima Animal Care Center. The donation will support PACC in finding loving homes for animals in need while taking care of them at the shelter and keeping the public safe through a variety of animal services. Kindness Act #34: Supporting Clean Water Initiatives at San Diego Pacific Beach
BE San Diego (Pacific Beach) donated to San Diego Coastkeeper, an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring swimmable, drinkable and fishable waters in San Diego County. They are guided by the belief that humans and the environment share a fundamental right to clean water. Joining us in donating or participating in one of their clean-up events!
