New Merchandise Buyer – Tucson (HQ)

In this full-time position, based out of Buffalo Exchange HQ in Tucson, AZ, you’ll put your talent for trendspotting to work while traveling to trade shows and Los Angeles on a regular basis. As a New Merchandise Buyer, you’ll have the chance to gain a great deal of purchasing experience while helping to buy all categories for Buffalo Exchange stores across the country. Support the Purchasing department through trend forecasting, vendor and store communication, managing purchase orders and checking merchandise quality. Strong detail orientation, organization and communication skills and an eye for upcoming popular fashion are a must. Retail or buying experience preferred. Bring a positive attitude and we’ll teach you everything else you need to know. Must be willing to travel monthly.

  • You can effectively and openly communicate with supervisors, stores and vendors via email and in person.

As an New Merchandise Buyer, most days will include the following responsibilities:

  • Traveling to trade shows and places like LA and Las Vegas to select styles that will go to Buffalo Exchange stores across the country. 
  • Assist in managing OTB budgets, selecting merchandise, placing orders and managing inventory levels.
  • Conducting trend research and sharing that knowledge with our stores. 
  • Tracking and organizing all purchase orders, following up with vendors and assisting with distribution to stores.  
  • Hosting check-ins with our stores to discuss merchandise needs and feedback. 
  • Special projects and helping out wherever needed!
