Lend a Helping Hoof by Shopping the Earth Day $1 Sale
Drumroll, please… our Earth Day $1 Sale is coming up on Saturday, April 20th! Save the date because you do NOT want to miss out on the special selection of $1 clothing and accessories that will be available at all Buffalo Exchange locations (excluding outlets). Warning: this CASH ONLY sale starts at store opening hours and $1 items go quickly, so we recommend arriving early with cash in hand. This year, all proceeds will benefit Goats of Anarchy, an amazing non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating farmed animals with disabilities. You herd that right: each dollar you spend will go towards helping the most adorable goats and other animals you’ve ever seen. Keep reading to learn more about our friends on the farm!
About Goats of Anarchy
The folks at Goats of Anarchy do everything they can to make sure the animals in their care can thrive — even when the odds are against them. Many of their residents suffer from blindness, mobility impairment or neurological disorders, but the folks at GOA do everything they can to provide these animals a loving forever home, even making custom prosthetics for their not-quite-four-legged-friends! In the last ten years, their herd has grown to over 250 animals and 5 humans that proudly call a 30-acre property in New Jersey home. Their herd includes sheep, cows, horses, dogs and especially goats. Hoof it to their Instagram, @goatsofanarchy, where you’ll find wildly cute photos of the animals in their care.

Their Mission:
Goats of Anarchy’s mission is threefold.
- First, they provide a safe, loving forever home to farmed animals in need. Rescuing these animals can be emotional and expensive but so rewarding. They work hard to protect and care for the animals who never gave up – just like Fiona, who went from wobbly to RUNNING!
- Second, they work to educate the public about vegan lifestyles. Along with caring for these animals, they work towards creating a kind and compassionate world where animals don’t need to be rescued.
- Finally, they believe that we can all learn a bit from our animal friends. Goats of Anarchy hopes their animals will help teach the world inclusion and acceptance of disabilities. Unfortunately, both human and non-human animals with disabilities are too often seen as “less than.”

Join us on Saturday, April 20th at any of our Buffalo locations (excluding outlets) to support this amazing cause while scoring some serious deals. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Goats of Anarchy, so you can look good and feel even better knowing you made a difference in a disabled farmed animal’s life!

Never been to a $1 Sale before? Check out this recap from last year, then read the below tips for everything you need to know to take this sale by the horns:
- PLAN TO ARRIVE EARLY: The sale starts at normal store opening hours, but customers tend to line up around the store early. We recommend arriving early for the best selection and to ensure you don’t miss out.
- GRAB A BUCK (OR 2 OR 3): The $1 Sale is CASH ONLY, so make sure to stop by the ATM before you arrive.
- DRESS COMFORTABLY: Dressing rooms won’t be available for the $1 Sale, so make sure to wear an outfit you can try clothes on over.
- BRING A (REUSABLE) BAG: With these wild deals, you’ll likely need a bag to carry all your sustainable treasures. OR you can buy a Buffalo Exchange tote bag made from 70% recycled plastic as a sustainable souvenir!
